West Sumbawa, November 29, 2019 - Peruak Naga Talonang access road has returned to normal. Previously, access was disrupted due to road condition badly damaged by landslides and erosion occurring at the end of 2018. The Peruak Naga road is the main economic distribution access for people in the Southern and West Sumbawa regions.

"10 months ago this road experienced a landslide due to high rainfall. Alhamdullilah (praise be to Allah) now the road has been repaired by Amman Mineral. We are grateful that this road has been repaired and hope that no landslide will occur. At that time the road was badly damaged, four-wheeled vehicles could not pass, only two-wheeled vehicles could pass, and they had to be very careful because the condition was very dangerous, "said Sekongkang Sub-District Chief, Syaripuddin.

Previously, the road section only functioned around 20% due to landslides 40 meters long and 20 meters deep due to adverse weather and high rainfall in 2018. The lack of function of the road had resulted in disruption of transportation to and from Talonang Village, as well as local community economic activities. Repairing the Tanjakan Naga road in Talonang Village, Sekongkang District, became one of Amman Mineral's social responsibility programs in infrastructure in 2019.

"This road repair has actually been done since last April. Permanent handling by the government requires a process and time that can not be determined, we, therefore, took the initiative to assist in emergency response so that the road can get connected and immediately be passed safely. Furthermore, we leave it to the government for its improvement and maintenance, "said Syarafuddin Jarot, Senior Manager of Amman Mineral Social Responsibility.

Syarafuddin Jarot added, "Amman Mineral remains committed to implementing the Community Empowerment Program (PPM) together with the government to help improve the community's economy. During the 3 years of Amman Mineral’s presence, the company has carried out several PPM programs while continuing to study the effectiveness and sustainability of the program to ensure that each program can bring benefits and be a catalyst for the local economy."
