Form of Amman Mineral’s Care for Communities Affected by Earthquake and Tsunami
Benete – West Sumbawa, October 7, 2018 - PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") and Business Partners Alliance sent a Disaster Emergency Response Team on October 2 to help earthquake victims in the Donggala district and Palu following the earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 followed by a tsunami wave hitting the areas on Friday (9/28). The Amman Mineral Emergency Response Team was involved in the search and evacuation of victims and the provision of health service assistance.
Rachmat Makkasau, President Director of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara, said, "Amman Mineral and its Business Partners Alliance expressed their deep condolences and sorrow for the earthquake and tsunami that have befallen our brothers and sisters in Donggala and Palu, Central Sulawesi. The humanitarian mission that we are doing is a form of the company's care to jointly help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster.
The Amman Mineral Emergency Response Team consists of rescue teams, doctors and medical personnel and is led directly by Marcus Eriec, Superintendent Fire Emergency Service. The teams are equipped with the equipment needed for post-disaster management such as platoon tents, generator sets, vehicles and medicines. The Amman Mineral Disaster Emergency Response Team will coordinate with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Palu and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
