Padang, September 5, 2019 - Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") again became the main sponsor of the Junior Tennis National Championships labeled the "Amman Mineral Junior Tennis Championships 2019" which took place in Padang, West Sumatra, on 2-5 September 2019. The tournament is the official competition calendar of the Central Board Indonesian Tennis Association (PP PELTI) for singles and doubles matches, both male and female in the Age Group 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 years.
"We are very pleased to be involved again in the implementation of this junior tennis championship. This event is very important as a means of fostering and searching for talented new seedlings, because the participants have the potential as a tennis player who can make Indonesia famous in the future, "said Rachmat Makkasau, President Director of Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara.
Amman Mineral has committed as the main sponsor in the national junior tennis championship which is the official agenda of PP PELTI, which is held in five major cities in Indonesia. After Yogyakarta and Padang, the next championship will be held in Bali and Lombok.
"This is our duty together so that more and more junior players are able to score achievements at the national and international levels. Of course it takes a long time and process before they reach this stage, "Rachmat Makkasau added.
Padang became the second city to hold the junior tennis championship sponsored by Amman Mineral, after the first series was held in Yogyakarta in June 2019. The selection of locations in Padang as a host as well as to revive the passion of tennis in West Sumatra after the formation of the new management of PELTI West Sumatra. Supporting sports facilities are also the reason for the selection of Padang as the venue for this championship. The match was held on the tennis court of Padang State University and Sekora Pasir Putih Tabing.
