Padang, September 5, 2019 - Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") again became the main sponsor of a Junior Tennis National Championship named "Amman Mineral Junior Tennis Championships 2019" which took place in Padang, West Sumatra, from September 2 to 5, 2019. The tournament is part of the official competition calendar of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Tennis Association (PP PELTI) for the singles and doubles categories, both boys and girls, for the Age Groups of 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 years.

"We are pleased to be involved again in this junior tennis championship. The championship is an important event to develop and find potential and talented young players who will someday make Indonesia famous in the future, "said Rachmat Makkasau, President Director of Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara.

Amman Mineral is committed to becoming the main sponsor in the national junior tennis championship, which is the official agenda of PP PELTI, held in five major cities in Indonesia. After Yogyakarta and Padang, the next championship will be held in Bali and Lombok.

"This is our duty to ensure that more junior players are able to make achievements at the national and international levels. It certainly takes a long time and process before they reach those levels, "Rachmat Makkasau added.

Padang became the second city to hold the junior tennis championship sponsored by Amman Mineral, after the first one was held in Yogyakarta in June 2019. Padang was selected to host the event aimed at reviving the passion of tennis in West Sumatra following the formation of the new executive board of PELTI West Sumatra. The availability of supporting sports facilities is also the main reason for choosing Padang as the host of this championship. The matches were held on the tennis courts of Universitas Negeri Padang (Padang State University) and Sekora Pasir Putih Tabing.
