Amman Mineral Holds Talent Scouting Test for Prospective Non-Skilled Employees

Company’s effort to ensure appropriate work placement for each prospective employee according to his/her talent and competence

Benete – West Sumbawa, October 18, 2018 - PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") and the Business Partners Alliance held a Talent Scouting Test for 314 prospective non-skilled employees of PT MacMahon Indonesia and a company under the Amman Mineral affiliation. Previously these test participants had been declared to have passed the Joint Team selection and medical test. This Talent Scouting Test was held between October 14 and 19, 2018 at the Batu Hijau mine.

Anita Avianty, Head of Corporate Communications of Amman Mineral, said, "Talent Scouting Test is a standard procedure in the recruitment process for all prospective non-skilled employees of the company. This test is aimed at obtaining an overview of the basic talents of prospective employees and looking at their previous education background and work experience. Results of the Talent Scouting Test will be used as one of the considerations in placing prospective employees." Anita added," We have also carried out the same tests during the previous recruitment process, including for prospective employees who are on a waiting list. We want to make sure that all prospective employees will be placed in the posts available according to their respective skills and talents.”

As part of the recruitment process and in accordance with the Job Offer Letter previously signed by prospective employees, Amman Mineral conducted several training programs aimed at ensuring that each prospective employee has a good performance, discipline and work ethic. This training program must be attended by all prospective employees before the work placement process is carried out including the Bela Negara (State Defense) training program to be held in the near future. The Bela Negara Training will be held in three batches. The first batch will be held on October 22, 2018 in the Main Regiment of the Udayana Regional Military Command IX, Bali. "

Amman Mineral has also prepared other technical and safety training programs to ensure that prospective employees have appropriate competencies and understand the culture of safe work to meet the requirements of the company's operational activities.

At present the Batu Hijau project managed by Amman Mineral is supported by about 5,200 employees and business partners, of which more than 75% of the employees are locals of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB)
