Donating more than 2300 Eid al-Fitr packages to children and residents in need in West Sumbawa and Lombok Island
Mataram, May 27, 2019 - PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") and its employees who are members of the Yayasan Muslim Batu Hijau (Batu Hijau Muslim Foundation / YMBH) and Association of Kumpulan Karyawan Wanita Pekerja Tambang (Women in Mining Batu Hijau / WIMBH) filled the holy month of Ramadhan by doing charity activities by donating 2300 Eid-al-Fitr (Lebaran) packages for children and residents in need in the Jereweh, Maluk, Sekongkang, and Sumbawa Districts.
Amman Mineral's Head of Corporate Communications, Anita Avianty, during a fast-breaking gathering with the media community in Mataram said, "Through this charity activity the Amman Mineral big family wishes to share happiness with the surrounding communities in need. This activity constitutes a form of gratitude for the trust and support always given by the community members in supporting the company's operations so that Amman Mineral can continue to contribute to NTB and the Republic of Indonesia.
Beside giving the Eid packages, the YMBH management also formed an amil zakat body to assist in receiving and distributing zakat fitrah and zakat maal from the employees of Amman Mineral, Alliance and Business Partners, to the communities around the mine, Sumbawa and Lombok Island. Moreover, WIMBH also participated in collecting and distributing assistance to disadvantaged communities around the mine.
The Eid packages provided consists of basic commodities, clothes and prayer equipment all purchased through local suppliers. In distributing the packages, Amman Mineral works with village and district governments to determine the people entitled to receive assistance. The Ramadhan Blessings-Sharing Program was also carried out by YMBH through charity activities for the needy people on the island of Lombok.
YMBH works with Universitas Mataram and Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram in distributing the Eid packages to those in need and unfortunate (dhuafa) on the island of Lombok.
