Hundreds of Amman Mineral Employees, Family Members and Community Members Hold Beach Clean-Up in Locations around Mine

Hundreds of employees of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") and the Business Partners alliance and their families and community members held the Beach Clean-Up movement around the Batu Hijau mine, Sekongkang, West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara. The activity held in the form of a fun walk began with planting trees, collecting plastic waste from Gate 41 Alfa along the tropical beach route, constitutes a series of the 2nd Anniversary of Amman Mineral which is the national pride and the company of choice for every stakeholder.

Anita Avianty, Head of Corporate Communications of Amman Mineral, said, "Through this Beach Clean-Up activity we can give all stakeholders understanding and knowledge about the importance of land, beach and sea environment cleanliness as part of human life. Environmental protection will be very effective if everyone starts from their own family and community.

Amman Mineral Successfully Reclaims 690.83 Hectares of Former Mine Area

Concurrently with the mining operation, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") has carried out reclamation on the area cleared for Batu Hijau mining area and other supporting facilities. The reclamation was carried out soon on the areas where mining operations had been completed to prevent erosion from occurring, maintain the stability of the slope structure, and reshape the structure and diversity of the vegetation similar to the one prior to mining operations in accordance with its final designation, and if possible, support the formation of certain plant species playing an important role in returning wildlife habitat.

Amman Mineral Holds Talent Scouting Test for Prospective Non-Skilled Employees

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") and the Business Partners Alliance held a Talent Scouting Test for 314 prospective non-skilled employees of PT MacMahon Indonesia and a company under the Amman Mineral affiliation. Previously these test participants had been declared to have passed the Joint Team selection and medical test. This Talent Scouting Test was held between October 14 and 19, 2018 at the Batu Hijau mine.

Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara and Business Partner Alliance Provide Assistance for Earthquake Victims in West Sumbawa

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (“Amman Mineral”) and Business Partner Alliance have symbolically handed over assistance for earthquake victims in the West Sumbawa area following an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 striking West Nusa Tenggara on Sunday (19/8). The assistance with a total value of IDR1.1 billion given in the form of goods and equipment required by the people of West Sumbawa following the earthquake has been and will be handed over by Sr. Manager Social Responsibility Amman Mineral, Syarafuddin Jarot and received directly by the Regent (Bupati) of West Sumbawa, Dr. Ir. H. W. Musyafirin, M.M., and witnessed by the Minister of Social Affairs of RI, Dr. Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, M.Si, who was on a working visit to the West Nusa Tenggara province.

Amman Mineral and LIPI Again Conduct Deep Sea Survey

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara ("Amman Mineral") together with the Indonesian Institute of Science and Research (LIPI) Jakarta again conducted a Deep-Sea Survey in the south of West Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) to demonstrate the company's ongoing commitment to apply high standards of environmental management.

Amman Mineral’s Environmental Manager, Jorina Waworuntu, said that this survey is regularly carried out every five years and has been carried out by the company since 2003. The survey is aimed at mapping the tailing footprint and the impact of placing tailings into the deep-sea floor on marine ecosystems. "This survey is conducted as one of Amman Mineral's commitment to environmental management and protection, specifically tailings management."

AMNT-Assisted Farmers Gather in Large Harvest and Conduct its First Seaweed Export

Today 45 seaweed farmers assisted by PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) have gathered in a large harvest and conducted their first export to China. Regent of West Sumbawa Regency (KSB), Dr. Ir. Musyafirin, MM., participated in the harvest and officially released the first seaweed export centered in Sagena Village, Poto Tano District, West Sumbawa Regency (KSB), West Nusa Tenggara.

The seaweed harvest was conducted in three locations in KSB namely Sagena Village, Labu Beru Village and Kertasari Village. The total seaweed harvested reaches 70 wet tons and a total of 15 dry tons will be exported, seven tons of which come from the AMNT-assisted farmers.

Progress on Copper Smelter Development of PT AMIN

The construction plan of copper smelter facility of PT Amman Mineral Industri (PTAMIN), an affiliated company of PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (PTAMNT), will soon be realized upon completion of the review on ANDAL (Environmental Impact Analysis) and RKL/RPL (Environmental Management Plan/Environmental Monitoring Plan) documents carried out by the AMDAL Review Commission of NTB (KPA NTB).

The review and assessment of related documents was conducted in a joint meeting of technical team and KPA NTB, relevant stakeholders and local community around the project site. The assessment aims at ensuring the review of environmental and social impacts is performed comprehensively to comply with prevailing regulations and all documents fulfill the requirements as set forth under applicable laws.

Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Receives ASEAN Best Mining Award

Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) received an award in the category of the Best Practices in Mineral Distribution in the prestigious ASEAN mining award event held by the Secretariat of ASEAN in a series of ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Minerals in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar in 30 November 2017.

“We thank the Government for having chosen AMNT to represent Indonesian in the AMA and for the Government’s active role in continuously collaborating with us in conducting operations in accordance with the environmental standards, work safety and operational safety at Batu Hijau enabling us to be a company of national pride,” said President Director of AMNT Rachmat Makkasau.

PTAMNT RECEIVES EXTENSION OF A CONCENTRATE EXPORT PERMIT

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) has been granted an extension of concentrate export permit from the Government. The export recommendation was issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on February 17, 2017 and the Ministry of Trade then issued a copper concentrate export permit with maximum volume of 675,000 WMT.

The company appreciates the cooperation between AMNT and the Government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Trade completing the recommendation application process and the extension of the Batu Hijau concentrate export permit.
